• Contact Information — your full name, company name, job title, business email, phone or WhatsApp number, and country. Provided when you submit an RFQ, request information, or contact us by email.
• Project & Technical Information — component type, target volume, resin or material, ESD/temperature/process requirements, target timeline, and any project context you share in the description field of our RFQ form.
• Engineering Files You Upload — 3D CAD files (STEP, STP, X_T, IGES), 2D drawings (PDF, DWG), sample photos or images, and any supporting documents you attach to your RFQ or send by email.
• Communication Records — copies of the emails, chat messages, meeting notes and phone-call summaries exchanged between you and our team while evaluating or executing your project.
• Website Usage Data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time on page and general geographic region, collected automatically via cookies and analytics tools (see Section 06).
• Consent & Preference Records — the checkbox status confirming your consent to our terms, timestamps of form submissions, and any privacy preferences you set.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely for the following purposes:

• Quotation & Engineering Review — to review your part, evaluate moldability, recommend materials, and prepare a formal quotation.

• Legal Compliance — to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from authorities, prevent fraud, and enforce our rights.

We do not use your engineering files, drawings or project details for any purpose other than the specific project you engage us on. We never re-use your designs as references for other customer projects.

Engineering Files & RFQ Data

Because our business is engineering, we understand that customer drawings and 3D files are among the most sensitive information you can share. This section applies specifically to how we handle those files.

• Need-to-Know Access — engineering files are accessible only to the specific engineering and sales team members assigned to your project.
• No Cross-Project Reference — your files are never used as templates, references, portfolio examples, or training data for any other customer project.
• No Third-Party Sharing — engineering files are not shared with any third party without your written authorization. This includes subcontractors — if a project requires an external partner (for example, a specialty surface-treatment vendor), we obtain your consent first and pass only the minimum information needed.
• NDA Available Before File Exchange — you may request a Non-Disclosure Agreement before uploading any files. We sign customer-standard NDAs on request, at no cost.
• Secure Storage — engineering files are stored on access-controlled internal servers, encrypted in transit, with logging of who accessed which file.
• Return or Destruction on Request — after project completion (or if the project does not proceed), you may request that we return or securely destroy the files we hold for your project.

How We Protect Your Information

We apply industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect the information you share with us:

• Encryption in Transit — cs-molds.com uses HTTPS/TLS encryption for all form submissions and file uploads.
• Access Controls — internal access to customer files is restricted to authorized personnel through role-based permissions.
• Physical Security — servers and file storage are located in secured facilities with restricted physical access.
• Employee Confidentiality — all CS Molds employees who handle customer information are bound by confidentiality obligations as part of their employment.
• Regular Backup — critical project data is backed up so that in-progress projects are not lost due to hardware failure.

While we take these measures seriously, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. If security of your files is critical, we recommend using file compression with password protection, or requesting a secure file-transfer channel from our team before uploading.

CS Molds operates from the People's Republic of China and serves customers globally, including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia and other jurisdictions. Information you submit through our website or send to us may therefore be transferred to, stored in, and processed in China.

• Active Project Data — retained for the duration of the project and reasonable post-project support (typically the tool's expected production life).
• RFQ Records (No Order Placed) — inactive RFQ records are typically retained for up to 24 months, then deleted, unless you request earlier deletion.
• Commercial Records — invoices, contracts, purchase orders and shipment records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and commercial law.
• Website Analytics — aggregated analytics data is retained for up to 26 months in accordance with our analytics provider's default settings.
• Engineering Files — retained as needed to support production and warranty of the delivered tool or parts. You may request return or secure destruction of files at any time.
